First Ewing Athletics made a comeback in the sneaker game in late 2012 and now looks as if another retired NBA Center will be making one as well. Adidas will be dropping the Dikembe Mutombo this year sporting the tribal patterns inspired by his African heritage. These sneakers were not on a lot of sneakerheads radars but, after a picture of Teyana Taylor in a pair and a few hypebeast blast the shoe seems to be building some steam. Check out some more colorways and pics here.
It seems sneakerheads Christmas wishes have come true this year, well at least for those in New York City. Moe’s Sneaker Spot is having their Grand Opening this Saturday in their new location in Glendale, New York. More than 600 shoes from Nike, Jordan Brand, and others that you may have missed out on this year including both Air Yeezy 2 colorways. All shoes will be sold at retail price. Be prepared to strong-arm a fellow sneakerhead and blow the gift money saved for your significant other when the doors open. Check out the and store address after the jump.
With different Jordans dropping in so many colorways and in several differ silhouettes each month, its hard to get excited sometimes. Everyone (at least me) should be happy to see the “black toe” AJ1 High back and with the Nike Air logo on the tongue. For those of you who don’t have a connect you will have to wait til the rumored Summer 2013 release date.

On Episode 6 of The Butcher’s Block, Frank sits down with Complex’s Joe La Puma and Kith NYC founder and sneaker designer Ronnie Fieg to discuss the current state of the releasing of sneakers and how social media has effected their careers.
With the Jordan Brand degrading its material quality continuously ever year, its time to step up your sneaker game a tad bit. With a retail price of $730, these Pierre Balmain Black Eros Sneakers are being sold at the luxury online boutique SSENSE for $365. With plenty of Pierre Balmain shoes thousand dollar price tags, this is a steal. Click here to add something fresh to your closet.
Recently there has been talk about the inflation in Jordan Brand prices. If you have problem shelling out $160 for a pair of retros then you might have a problem buying a pair of sneakers that cost more than a Smart Car. With luxury brands using pony hair, snakeskin, and other animals parts, the designers at Rayfish Footwear decided to up the ante. For $14,8000 Rayfish Footwear will breed a “genetically modified” pair of stingrays to your color preferences and pattern to make you a pair of sneakers or shoes. If you feel like no one can “sea” you when it comes to swag, why not drop the 15 stack for a pair. I’m sure not even Aqua Man himself has these yet. More pics after the jump.
